A Touch Of Modern Christmas Card

Hi all, back to making Christmas cards today after spending several days creating projects for Spring and Easter for a magazine, at this rate I am struggling to know what day of the month it is!!!  I thought I would give my card today a modern twist by using non traditional colours and I think it worked out ok!

Materials used:
Chameleon color tone pens, Green Apple and Lavender, Penny Black Stamp set Winter Joy 30-374, Penny Black dies, O Holy Night 51-259 and Winter Garland 51-249, Memento Ink Lulu Lavender and Memento Dual Tip Markers Purple Grape and Bamboo Leaves, Spellbinders Grand Circles and Grand Stately Circles, Green, Lavender and White card, glue and foam pads.

Instructions:

  1. Stamp poinsettia using lulu lavender ink 3 times, then color using Chameleon Pens, fusing the pen for between 5-10 seconds depending on the size of the petal/leaf.
  2. Colour the stamp using purple grape and bamboo leaves ink and using a stamp poisoner stamp over the coloured image. Then fussy cut around the flowers (removing the stem).
  3. Die cut card base from lavender card using stately circles and then a smaller white circle to go inside. Die cut sentiment and leaves then cut leaves in half.
  4. Attach all elements to the card using glue and foam pads.
Thanks for joining me today, hopefully I will find time soon to make and share some more Christmas cards.
Hugs Cathy x
