Sketching Penny Black

Sketches are one of those crafting tools that I often overlook, so what fun to have a sketch challenge this week over on the Penny Black Blog, details of the challenge can be found here.
The multiple layers suggested to me patterned papers, but then I thought why not create my own. I created three different backgrounds using Circular design 40-046 (embossed with wow Azure Powder); Zen 40-051 (embossed with detail White) & Paisly Outline 40-048 stamped with brocade blue ink. The main flower image is from Cheerful 4160K, the flower was stamped onto blue card and shaded with copics and White prisma pencil,The centre was decorated with broken china distress stickles and ocean blue liquid pearls, the leaves were stamped onto green card and again shaded with copics. the sentiment is from the sentiments clear set 30-025.
