Brrr is that a Polar bear I see?

This fierce creature looks so cute here with Mimi, don't you think?

I wanted to create a Christmas card with cool contemporary winter colours and so chose Mix and Match Purple Mountain 12-002 as my starting point, this was then cut using the new scalloped grand nestabilities from Spellbinders (the smaller sizes of these dies still fit in your cuttlebug).

I then cut an oval from the Spellbinders grand ovals set and stamped Penny Black's Bear Hug 4188K with Memento black ink.  The bear, birds and Mimi were then coloured using Copic markers BG15, BG23, B02, B04, BG49, BG10, BV31, B63, BV02, E50 & E51, E71, E77, E70, B32, B12, BG72 and BG75.

Green Fluffy stuff was then added to the polar bear and Mimi's hat, the holly was stardust stickled and a lilac pearl added for the berry.  Enamel accents were used to give raised dimension for the snowflakes and the ground was created by applying Aleene's Glitter Snow with a palette knife and then sprinkling Pin Flair Ice Diamond on top.  The image was then machine stitched onto the scallop card blank.

The sentiment has been cut out using Spellbinders scalloped ovals and stamped with the sentiment from the Penny Black Let it Snow set 30-086, this was then shaded with Milled Lavender distress ink before being mounted onto the main card blank with dimensional foam pads.

If you have time to visit the Penny Black blog today, I would recommend it...Peet Roeven has made a stunning card combining Mimi and one of our other Christmas stamps Here.

Thanks for all your lovely comments they are really appreciated and make my day.
