Playing with my new Tombow markers

I was rather naughty and treated myself to two sets of Tombow markers last week, I am still trying to get used to them and what paper/card looks best.

I wanted to try and colour in the new Penny Black Poinsettia Script 40-085, but I got the colours rather wrong for the flowers, so I then went over the flowers with Prisma Pencils and then highlighted with acrylic paint.

I used Pine Needles  and walnut stain distress ink over the script. The centres had enamel accents added that were coloured with copic marker when dry.  I then went round the edges of the flower with a black marker pen and then did dotted lines with a white pen.

The image was then framed with a spellbinders fleur de lys nesting frame that had been embossed and shaded with red and gold cream. It is hard to see but the red panel has also been stamped with the poinsettia script.  The sentiment is from the new Penny Black Clear set Christmas with Mimi 30-079 stamped onto a spellbinders label.

Have you visited the Penny Black blog yet this week?  It is really worth the visit to see all the amazing Christmas Nature cards that the design team have made, you can visit it by clicking here.

Thanks for all your comments they really do brighten my day.
