On a Cloud of Love

This week I got an early Christmas Present......a box of stamps with the new Penny Black Valentine Collection!   If you would like to see all the new collection you can view it here.  Also the Penny Black design team will be showcasing some of the new stamps on the Blog this week; there are some amazing designs that you can check out here.

This card has been created from a couple of the new stamps; 'In The Air' 40-093 and 'All You Need' 40-092.

The ballon was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured with the following copics from left to right :- B26, B12, B04, YG17, YG25, Y06, Y08, Y15, Y17, YR16, YR68, R08, R27, R37, RV19 and V17.

I then cut around the outline of the balloon and the heart out of the middle.  The sentiment was partially inked and stamped onto white card.  The balloon was mounted on top of the sentiment with dimensional foam pads and confetti hearts  glued in a cascading fashion below. Some twine, a bow and gem were added to the bottom and the edge pierced using Tim Holtz ruler.

The background card was created using Mix and Match Cardstock 'Purple Mountain'12-001 and 'All You Need' 40-092 stamped with soft mauve shadow ink.

I then cut circles from mix and match card stock, cut in half and glued down either side of the central panel. The colours used were as follows (from top to bottom).

'Periwinkle' 11-003
'Rose Garden' 14-003
'Fall Festival' 16-003
'Fall Festival' 16-001
'Summer Sun' 17-001
'Summer Sun' 17-002
'Spring Meadows' 06-001
'Spring Meadows' 06-002
'Clear Skies' 10-002
'Clear Skies' 10-003

Thanks for visiting me today!

A real stunner with the rainbow of colours. Thsoe cascading hearts add a lovely touch the way they lead the eye from the from the start of & the sentiment in the centre of the balloon down to the completion at he bottom. The detial of the twine is very pretty too & the colour you used perfect with the cler little gem giving just that touch of sparkle.
