'Attention'

They are changing guard at Buckingham Palace!  Is the inspiration for this card for a 3 year old.

I stamped the soldier from Penny Black's 'On Guard' 4215K three times, coloured with copics and cut out. I cut an oval using spellbinders grand ovals from white card and distressed the edge whilst still in the die with Tim Holtz Mustard Seed distress ink. The soldiers were then mounted onto the card with dimensional glue (the middle soldier is raised higher to create more depth).  The number 3 was cut out with the cricut machine and 'Coral Reef' 15-003 Mix and Match card stock, adhered to the card and today stamped from Penny Black's 'Sentiments' set 30-025. This was then mounted onto the card blank with foam pads.

The main card blank was cut using spellbinders grand ovals with 'Coral Reef' 15-003 Mix and Match cardstock and stamped with the 'houses of parliament' 4223K.

Did you know my cousin was a Welsh Guard and actually got to wear this uniform whilst on ceremonial duties at the Palace...how cool is that!

Thanks for visiting me today

Hugs Cathy

This is such a lovely & personal card for a child & as Elizabeth says educational too. I particularly like the way that you stamped the base card with the house of parliament - so apt & a lovely detail.
