First Kiss Friday

I like to end the week with a smile and so today I thought I would share a card that brings a smile to my face!  Just look at the expression on the toads face......you can tell it is one of utter shock, hence the name first kiss!

To highlight the look of shock in his eyes I have raised them with Inkessentials enamel accents to really make them pop!
Take a white square card blank and add My Minds Eye patterned paper,  adhere the American Crafts ribbon 2/3rds of the way down and then zig zag stitch around the edge of the paper with white thread.
On a separate piece of white card stamp the hedgehog and frog from the 'Touch of Love' 30-089 set, colour with Copics.
Colours used were as follows: Prickles E30, E35, E37 and E47 (tip use a light flicking motion to achieve individual prickles). Body E0000, E00, E02 and R20 (cheeks) Frog: YG03,Y02, YG25, YG67, R20, fine dots were also added to the body with Faber Cassell sepia pen. Finally add inkessentials black enamel accents to the frogs eyes and the hedgehogs nose.
Part ink the 'simply love' 3610F sentiment and stamp in the top right of the card. Draw a border with a black fine liner pen round the edge and mount at a jaunty angle onto main card.  Tie a ribbon bow and add to the edge where the white card and ribbon meet.

Have a great weekend everyone, join me on Monday for a little Easter inspiration.

Hugs Cathy

Oh I laughed - this is priceless. Hedgie is gorgeously prickly & I love the way the stitching helps to accent that - no wonder the frogs worried!
Wouldn'tthis make a super anniversary card - with the right husband of course.
