At the beginning of this week, you may recall that I was raving about Penny Black's new 'Tres Chic' 4260K stamp and how versatile it was........well I shall make no apology for creating one more card using that very stamp.
I love the open book effect that you can get by using Spellbinders Grand Labels Twenty Three. I distressed the edge of the cut label with Spun Sugar ink before removing the die and then scored down the centre of the card, curving the card out from the centre to create the leaves of the book. The flourishes were from the Transparent set 'Gratitude' 30-105 and the Sentiment is 'Garden of Life' 4263F.
Did you notice the roses on the girls hair? They were created by cutting some felt with the smallest spellbinders nesting circle, I cut each circle in a spiral and wound round from the outside...so pleased with the result. The other flowers were created from punches and the girl was stamped onto white card, coloured with Copics, cut out and has been mounted onto Spellbinders Labels Twenty.
So that the card would stand up like an open book, I created this stand from a piece of card.
I promise to put that stamp away now for a few days and play with some of the other new designs to give further inspiration!
Enjoy what is left of the week.
Hugs Cathy

The tone on tone effect of the flourish stamping is terrific & I love the combination of pinks & reds. This stamp is such a fun one that I'm not surprised you kept creating with it. Thanks for the video too.
