Creating your own backgrounds and using those scraps!

A crafting friend came round the other day and to my surprise she had not heard of Copics, what followed was my over enthusiasm for a pen that I LOVE!

I just had to show her how they shaded and blended and what better way than to colour in a Penny Black flower called Petals 3187C . I demonstrated this on the smallest scrap of paper and my friend was, I think impressed with what these markers can do!  But then what do I do with this flower, I just couldn't throw it away.....so I found some more scraps and made this card.

To finish it off I used Spellbinders Labels 20 die, Penny Black Flourish Thank You 4175F available here, and some enamel accents and a gem on the flower.

Whilst the Petals stamp was on my desk, I thought I would have a go at making some background paper with it and another Penny Black stamp the Mini Silhouette 3193B. I stamped the flowers randomly using Memento New Sprout, Lulu Lavender, Lilac Posies and Pear Tart to create the background, this was then cut out using spellbinders labels 8. I then stamped Penny Black's Cheerful 4160K available here onto a separate piece of card, coloured with Copics, Flowersoft was added to the centre and cut out. The flower was then mounted onto the background with dimensional glue. The sentiment is from the Penny Black Clear Set Tiny Wishes 30-026 available here.

Thank you so much for visiting, your comments really make my day. Hope you all have a great weekend.
