Penny Black August ATC Swap day 1

Felicia one of the Penny Circle Members very kindly suggested an ATC (artist trading card) swap and then paired everyone up that wanted to take part. Details can be found here.

I was paired with Karin and we agreed to each make four ATC's to swap, we didn't set a specific theme but agreed that we would have one element or thing running through all four cards.

I chose to use one stamp set; Enjoy Life 30-032 and to incorporate a punched shape or border in each of my cards.

Here is the first of my cards

The background has been created on white card using Broken China and Shabby Shutters distress ink, I then stamped the ferns and sentiment randomly using the same inks. The butterfly was stamped 3 times onto a separate piece of card and coloured with Copics, this was then cut out and mounted onto the ATC (did you notice I only used half the butterfly and drew in the antennae to create a butterfly with it's wings closed).

A border was then punched using a Martha Stewart border punch and the whole ATC then mounted onto Forest Glen Mix and Match Cardstock 07-003.

Tomorrow I will share another ATC with you and a peek at my Penny Black simple card. All this week Penny Black will be showing you simple stamping projects, todays project with Jill is a real wow and can be seen here on the Penny Black Blog, if you have time to visit and leave her some love; I am sure she will appreciate it.
Thanks for visiting me today.
