I have always believed that it is important to thank people for their generosity and have tried to instil this value in my children. Now whenever they receive a Christmas or Birthday Present, they always send a message of thanks. I wanted to make some thank you cards that would be appropriate for my teenage son to send this year - not too fussy or feminine in any way and this is the design I came up with.
It is so simple to create, I stamped Penny Black's "Cityscape" 3883K onto an A6 card blank and then added the sentiment also by Penny Black "Bid Thanks" 00107D, The buildings were coloured with Prisma Pencils; Parrot Green, Jade Green and Muted Turquoise and blended to give highlighted areas.
I then added two strips of "Forest Glen" 07-001 and 07-002 to the bottom after embossing them with Cuttlebug embossing borders and sanding the raised parts. For the finishing touch I added Crystal Stickles to the stars.

Thanks for visiting me today, enjoy the rest of your week.

This is so perfect for your son, Cathy! I'll bet he approved! I totally agree with teaching your kids to send thank you notes. With all the technology today, it's become something most of them don't do anymore. Hugs to you! :)
Love your thoughts and comments about sending thank you notes Cathy! This design is perfect for your son's correspondence.
It's so strange when one gives something & there is not even an acknowledgement of the deed - you wonder if they even got it so your thoughts are very refreshing to read. This is one of my favourite PB stamps & I love your colouring of it. The depth you created really makes those buildings come forward & recede. The touches of glitter & the gorgeous ribbon with the embossing really make this a very apt card for a young man to send.
