Love Swing

Today I thought I would share a card that I had submitted to a magazine, but sadly it was not selected for publication. I am also entering this in Oozak's first blog challenge here.

This card has a moving swing, I attached the rose wreath swing with a crochet chain stitch to give the appearance of a real chain and hand stitched around the edge of the card blank.
Stamp 'Love and Roses' 4228K with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colour in the image using the Marvy Alcohol Marker pens and Copic Pens.
Leaves, YG642, YG645; Branch E867, E869; Roses P793, R817; Ginger cat OY841, OY844, O838 (paws on both cats P782) and Copic YR0000; Grey cat CG894, CG892 and Copic C00. Add Glossy accents to some of the rose petals to add definition. Cut out cats on swing and glue button thread where the whiskers should be. Leave to dry.
Cut two scalloped circles die and 'Coral Reef' 15-003 card stock, Stitch a border round one of the circles, (tip I use a cutterbee piercing tool to get even stitches), use the other circle to create the back of the card.
On a separate piece of card stamp 'Hearts All Over' 40-094 with soft green shadow ink, cut using spellbinders circle die. Distress edge with a Tim Holtz blending tool and Bundled Sage, then add a slightly darker edge with Forest Moss. Adhere to the middle of the main card blank.
Take another piece of card and cut a frame using circles dies , stamp Hearts All Over with Bundled Sage ink and then with blending tool colour over the top lightly with Bundled Sage, highlight the edges with Forest Moss.
Using crochet thread and needle do a simple chain stitch to create two pieces each 1/2 long. Adhere one end to the rose wreath and the other to the frame, this will allow the cats to swing freely. Attach dimensional foam pads to the frame and mount onto the main card. Punch a couple of tiny hearts from 'Coral Reef' 15-003 Card and adhere above cats heads to complete card.

Hope you have been inspired to have a go at creating a moving card too!

Hugs Cathy

That is some creation & I love your use of the green Distress Inks for the background - especially with the stamping giving such extra depth to one layer. The cats in different colours adds to the interest superbly too.
