Loads of Love

Hi everyone, I hope you had a lovely relaxing weekend, we had the pleasure of going to friends for a delicious Sunday roast, it always tastes nicer when you don't have to cook it yourself (or should I say when my hubbie doesn't cook it!).

I wanted to share a card with you today, where the sentiment is repeatedly stamped to create the background to the card.

Sketched love

Materials used: White Card Blank (Le Petites Orange Fizz 90-005 Penny Black), Bed Of Roses Stamp (Penny Black 40-190), Loads of Love Stamp (Penny Black 30-146), Versfine Ink Spanish Moss and Habenero, Memento Tangelo and Tuxedo Black, Clear Embossing Powder and Alcohol Marker Pens.

* Stamp rose pattern with black ink onto card, colour with alcohol pens and cut out one rose.

* Repeatedly stamp sentiment down card blank with Spanish Moss Ink leave a gap where rose is to go.

* Stamp sentiment again in Habanero ink and emboss with clear powder. Mount rose to left of sentiment with foam pads.

* Stamp envelope with rose design using Tangelo ink.

Tip: When colouring the rose start with the lightest shade and add darker shades where the stamp has hatching marks.

Did you know that Penny Black has some new Illustrators?  Hop on over to their blog today to be introduced to the first of the new designers here.

Have a great week, hugs
Cathy

Beautifully effective with the rose positioned so as to extend beyond the card base. Love the way the words pick up the colours too. Lovely CAS idea which even I might manage.

This is stunning Cathy - love the way you have carried the colour of the rose across the sentiment panel.
