Sunshine At Last

Well, for many of us I know it has been a long winter, finally the sun has begun to shine and signs of spring are finally popping up where ever I go.  To celebrate, I thought I would set myself the challenge to make a card using sunny yellow shades; why is this such a challenge you may ask, well for those that know me well, yellow is not a colour I love (I think I was traumatised as a child at the age of 7 when made to wear a flowery lemon bonnet as a bridesmaid!!).

Here is my attempt at yellow

Sunshine flowers

For this card create a card blank using Penny Black Summer Sun Mix and Match cardstock 17-002 then on a smaller piece of white card cut and emboss the bracket using Spellbinders A2 Bracket Borders One S5-181 and Grand Calibur GC-001, stamp the birthday greeting using Versafine Onyx Black ink  and Penny Black's transparent set Edge to Edge 30-164 and glue to main card blank.

On a separate piece of black card stamp with Versamark ink and emboss with white powder Penny Black's Design Spotter 40-050 add ribbon and twine to the top and adhere to the main card blank.

Stamp Penny Black's Graceful 4313J  onto white card using Versafine Onyx Black ink, colour the flower using Inktense Water colour pencils (I have used Golden Yellow, Sienna Gold and Mid Vermillion) cut out and mount onto card with dimensional glue.

Don't forget to hop on over to the Penny Black Blog all this week where we are sharing sneak peaks of  our latest stamp release here.
